I’m working from home today, tapping away on my laptop. I get twice, nay thrice as much done when I work at home as there are NO interruptions. I don’t mean that in a bad way, as a team leader/manager type bod my team require me to answer questions. I get involved in impromptu discussion concerning a process or procedure that needs altering, a decision that needs taken. I enjoy that aspect of office life, I enjoy the way it can go from lull to chaos in seconds. But I like working at home too. I get to drink good coffee, I have music playing quietly in the background, I control the temperature of the room, I also can stop and look out of the window and see our back garden (damn must cut the grass).
I’m also in the midst (well I was last night) of finishing off some more thoughts and ramblings to post here, should be up over the weekend sometime, although if the weather stays like it is (switching between glorious sunshine and hailstones) expect them sooner rather than later.
Other plans for the weekend include a family friends wedding on Saturday, and… ehh.. that’s about it I think! Although should really be thinking about my sister’s 21st party the following weekend. Need to get something purple to wear as that’s the theme.
Ohhh and while I remember…
Time for the Friday Five
1. What are your hobbies?
Hmmm reading. I’ve always read a lot of books, and go through spells of reading lots then nothing. I guess this infernal website could be classed as a hobby. Ohhh and when I get around to buying a keyboard, that’ll be a hobby too.
2. Do you collect anything?
Used to collect keyrings and badges. Now I just collect bills and payment demands (or so it seems). Again, kinda geeky but I do ‘collect’ wallpapers for my PC… sad isn’t it..
3. Is there a hobby you’re interested in, but just don’t have the time/money to do?
Painting – watercolours especially, lack of time, money and basic artisitic ability (ok, so mainly the last one)
4. Have you ever turned a hobby into a moneymaking opportunity?
Nope, not once. Does that make me a bad person? Or a good one?
5. Besides web-related stuff (burbs, rings, etc.), what clubs do you belong to?
None, never really been my thing to be honest.
Right that’s me done for the day. Have a good weekend y’all!
