Doctors urge public smoking ban: “a spokeswoman for the Department of Health said: ‘..we do not think a universal ban on smoking in all public places is justified while we can make fast and substantial progress in partnership with industry and on a voluntary basis.’”
Which industry would that be? The tobacco industry? Is that the same one that pumped some cash in the Labour party coffers? Or is it the loss of tax on cigarettes that the government is worried about.
And yes I am a non-smoker who would love a universal ban to be put in place.
