I had some little stickers of stars and cups of tea (for loud and quiet respectively) for my old mix tapes. I haven't made mix cds - I skipped a generation and went straight from tape to memory stick/sd card.

Just write small on the cd.

I haven't done any mix tapes/CDs in ages - but when I did, I always used to find that I preferred the ones where they had a theme that went through, or at least some kind of connection.

OK, sometimes I did ones where the connections were - how shall we put it - esoteric, but they were fun to put together, and usually made me chuckle when I remember the connection at all.
