I'm weighing up the pros and cons of finding the right removal info on the web with just reinstalling the whole OS from scratch (because I've been on the brink of doing that for a while now and this might be the final straw...) Used to get them a lot when I was less clued-up about teh interwebs and into trying out bits of software from P2P networks. Sounds as though you know what you're doing when it comes to removing it (unlike I was at the time, frequent reformatting and reinstalling, boo), good luck :) Crap.
