Okay, here’s a wee idea. If you’re bored, as per my post earlier today, try and envision what your blogging habits will be like in 25 years time, and what this site will look like. Then tell us about it.

That should stave off the boredom for a wee while anyway!

Clearly the world is not a boring place. Boredom is therefore potentially viewable as a refusal to engage with its delights, for whatever reason. Such refusal could be regarded as passive-aggressive: a (self-?)destructive form of behaviour that has its roots in anger at the fact that things are not as they “should” be (that word again).

A quick Google search reveals that it’s clearly not “my” theory at all, though this specific articulation of it is mine, in all its glorious speculation and lack of supporting evidence. No doubt I’ve absorbed it from somewhere, but off-hand I can’t remember where.

Would now be a good time to mention my theory that boredom is a form of anger?

On a more practical level, sleep is good. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends recently too. I’ve caught up on a bit of sleep over the past couple of nights and I feel like a different person.
