If you had gone to Salford you would have had great trouble finding Old Trafford, which is in Stretford.

It all depends on how interested, ultimately, you are, but there’s a lot to see in the Dark Satanic Mills and canals, the Lowry Centre, Heaton Park.

Although I am very fond of Manchester, I do think the surrounding countryside – Cheshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, all very different – is really what is worth seeing.

Ehhh I and how would I have ditched the tour bus, they weren’t running!

And yeah, I did think about heading to Old Trafford but didn’t think it was something that would fill an afternoon.

You should have ditched the Manchester tour bus and gone to Salford for a tour of the Theatre of Dreams.
