Time to move

I’m slowly starting to consolidate my online outputs, migrating my other blogs to a new place. I’ll put redirects in place soon enough (once I figure out an elegant solution), but for now it’s fair to say that One Man Blogs has had its time in the sun and that it’s time to move on.

Not massively, and for now I’m not quite sure what direction I’m going in to be honest, but I’m changing so my blogs will start to reflect that.

I’m still building but feel free to head to to see what’s what.

Or not.

As ever, I do this for me. Not you.

I don’t know Barbara and to be honest, I’m pretty sure I don’t want to.

I only know Barbara because of her repeated attempts at posting comments on this blog. They have all been blocked as spam (because they are) but I have to admire her tenacity.

However, I don’t think Barbara is real. In fact, I’m certain of it.

You see, most spam comments take the form of a non-specific congratulatory or argumentative statement. They could be applied to every blog post ever posted.

But I think Barbara is broken because the other day, instead of the usual one sentence comment, she ‘posted’ this:

Hello, just wanted to tell you, I enjoyed this article. It was helpful. Keep on posting!

Hi, I just wanted to say, you’re wrong. Your point doesn’t make any sense.

What’s up, how’s it going? Just shared this post with a colleague, we had a good laugh.

Incredible points. Outstanding arguments. Keep up the great spirit.

This text is invaluable. When can I find out more?

Very energetic article, I loved that bit. Will there be a part 2?

Incredible quest there. What happened after? Good luck!

So I’m pretty sure Barbara is a spam bot. And part of me is a little bit disappointed…

When life is good

I tend to forget about this little blog, more and more frequently I’m too caught up in the ‘now’ of things happening. Twitter is useful in that respect as it’s less daunting to use to capture a passing thought, no pressure to flesh it out into a longer blog post.

Cycling is going well, the ‘big’ cycle is on Sunday and I’m all prepared I think (bike is getting serviced tomorrow to make sure).

Love life is going well. Saying no more on that, but my face hurts from ALL THE GRINNING LIKE A LOON!

Work is going.. well it’s ok. Which is as good as being good!

So, I’m happy.

And if you are very lucky, you might get another scintillating blog post next week!
